NO CAFE ON SATURDAY MAY 17th |
|
Hey Everyone,
Our band for this week-end fell through, and due to some
of our key volunteers being away for the week-end, we've decided to end our
season early.
Sorry if this messes up your week-end plans.
So start enjoying the summer early...
...connect with friends, connect with God, start some
significant - and maybe some spiritual - conversations, make a difference, serve
some needs, and live life.
Pray for and consider helping some of the global crisis'
around - there are lots of people in need aroudn the world (check out World Vision or MCC to donate)
Please check out our website through out the summer and
into the fall for our kick off into next season.
Thanks for staying connected to the gathering
cafe.
Have a great summer, and keep in touch.
David
(you can also stay connected to what I'm up to here)
p.s. BIG THANKS to all our
volunteers this past season - you all did amazing!!!!
p.s.s. stay tuned for an end of summer Community BBQ
taking place in D.D.O., my church
community puts that on for anyone who wants to show up - so you're all
invited (August 24th)

Sebastian Demrey hits home |
|
Our March Cafe hosted Sebastian Demrey and Band. It was full concert and the band didn't disappoint. I'm not how to describe Sebastian's sound but to say it's a mix of pop/70's soul/rock. His voice is so easily identified through the music. The band's sound was tight.
The crowd absolutely loved it, not the least because Sebastian has a great stage presence and is really natural both on and off the stage. He's for real.
Both their heart and lyrics hit home for a searching culture. The title track of his new CD is really about that, how we're all searching for more. Sebastian let us in to a bit of his own life and how God has fulfilled his own search in a powerful way.
Check out more at: www.sebastiandemrey.com
See ya next month - April 19th - with artist David Hodges & a spoken word premier (at the cafe).
